Please read these Terms carefully before using myroots.shop. By placing an order or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our store.
1. About Us
MyRoots is an online lifestyle brand celebrating African heritage through apparel, home décor, and lifestyle products. We are operated by an individual merchant based in Hiroshima, Japan. Our store is powered by Shopify and fulfilled by Printify.

2. Eligibility
By using our store, you confirm that:
• You are at least 18 years old (or have parental/guardian consent)
• You are not located in a jurisdiction where using our store is prohibited by law
• The information you provide is accurate and complete
3. Products & Print-on-Demand Please be aware of the following:
• Color accuracy: product colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen due to differences in monitor calibration and the print-on-demand process. This is normal and does not constitute a defect.
• Sizing: all sizes are provided as measurements, not guarantees. Please refer to the size guide on each product page. MyRoots is not responsible for items that do not fit if you order without checking the size guide.
• Mockup images: product photos and mockups are representations. Minor visual differences between the mockup and the final product are inherent to POD production.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated. We accept payment via Shopify Payments, Stripe, and PayPal. Prices are subject to change without notice, but any change will not affect orders already confirmed. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location.
5. Orders & Cancellations
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. Your order is confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to pricing errors, stock/print provider issues, or suspected fraud in which case a full refund will be issued.
Cancellations by the customer are accepted within 24 hours of purchase only, as orders enter production quickly. Email info@myroots.shop immediately if you need to cancel.
6. Intellectual Property
Our designs:
All original designs, graphics, branding, and content on myroots.shop are the intellectual property of MyRoots and are protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our designs without written permission.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. MyRoots is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities, extreme weather, or other events outside our control. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
8. Returns & Refunds
Because all products are made to order, we do not accept returns for change of mind. We will, however, replace or refund items that arrive damaged, defective, or significantly different from what was described. See our Refund & Return Policy for full details.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyRoots's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our store or purchase of our products shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use our store to:
• Submit designs that infringe copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
• Submit designs that are hateful, obscene, defamatory, or illegal
• Commit fraud or impersonate another person
• Interfere with or disrupt our website or servers
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, where the operator is based. However, nothing in this clause limits the consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your own country (United States, Canada, or otherwise). If you have a dispute, please contact us first at info@myroots.shop we will do our best to resolve it fairly.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be referred to the courts of your country of residence for consumer claims.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the 'Last updated' date. Continued use of the store after changes constitutes acceptance.
